Scones with Griottines®

The perfect tea-time treat – warm, light, freshly baked scones with a twist. Top with cream and Griottines®

Serves 6 to 8

You will need:

Flour 450g
Salt 3g
Baking powder 30g
Butter 85g
Griottines 150g
Egg 120g
Milk 200g
Sugar 30g

To serve:

Whipping cream
Griottines

Method

Sieve flour, baking powder and salt into a bowl. Stir in sugar, rub in butter to a breadcrumb consistency. Add egg and milk and knead to a dough. Add Griottines and mix. Roll out to 1 cm thickness and cut into rounds to your desired size. Place on a baking tray.

Brush with beaten egg and bake in a warm oven at 200˚C (Gas Mark 6) for approx 20 minutes until golden brown.

Delicious split and topped with whipped cream and Griottines.
